This wonderfully located 4-room apartment cannot be explained better than the owner does below:
I never wanted to live in a flat until I saw this one pass by. When I first came to this apartment five years ago, I immediately knew: I want to live here. The 60s kitchen, the bright rooms, the panoramic view of the water of the Zijl and the original layout of the apartment; I fell in love with this house.
This is precisely the reason that I enjoyed living there for years. I enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony in the morning sun while large cargo ships passed by. In the winter it is wonderful to turn on the old-fashioned gas stove. I was always proud to show the house when visitors came; the original layout from the 60s, the cozy kitchen (Bruynzeel) and the granite floor in the toilet. The resident who lived in the apartment before me had lived in this flat from the very beginning and - as one of the few - left it as it was once built. With the three bedrooms, the five built-in wardrobes and a glass view from the kitchen to the living room.
Also the place is great. It is a quiet neighborhood, with hardly any traffic and always enough space to park, there is a swimming pool next door, and a 5-minute bike ride takes you to the center. In addition, I had very nice neighbors in my porch and there is an active VvE that keeps track of the maintenance of the entire flat.
Over the years I have modernized it somewhat. For example, I had the central heating installed and the geyser replaced by a combi boiler.
The fact that I am going to sell the apartment now is something I do with a little pain in the heart. Yet it is going to happen, because I bought a house with my friend. I have always felt very much at home here and I hope the new owner will feel just as at home there.
The apartment is located on the 3rd floor with the original layout, but that certainly does not make the apartment old-fashioned! It has - because it is located directly on the Zijl - wonderful views from the living room and the balcony over the sailing boats. This side faces the morning sun. The balcony at the front is on the west side and is accessible through the kitchen. The west side is also the front and for this apartment there are no buildings that obstruct the view, so that a lot of light comes into the apartment from that side. The apartment has a warm appearance.
Entrance into the hallway with meter cupboard, simple Bruynzeel kitchen in old-fashioned style with the connection for the washing machine, access to the balcony and a door to the bathroom. The bathroom is accessible from both the kitchen and the bedroom on the other side and has a shower and sink and the central heating boiler (2017) hangs here.
The bedroom at the front is the main bedroom with a closet and a door to the hallway and a door to the bathroom. At the end of the hall is a large storage cupboard. The toilet is halfway down the hall.
At the rear are 2 bedrooms, 1 of which has access to the balcony at the rear and the other bedroom has its own closet.
In addition, at the rear is the living room with a closet and a very large window, overlooking the Zijl, and a door on the side to the large balcony at the rear.
Downstairs in the basement is a private, closed, bicycle shed.
The smaller balcony at the front side is situated West, the master balcony at the rear side of the apartment, next to the living room is situated East.
