Ready to go, nothing more to do!
This very well-maintained 1930s mansion with 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a very nice garden on the southwest is in an excellent location in the popular and child-friendly Raadsliedenbuurt.
The house has been completely renovated and modernized by the current residents in the past 15 years. It is that a very special property came their way, but otherwise they certainly would not have intended to sell their wonderful house.
Vestibule with space for wardrobe and modern meter cupboard (2015). Through a folding door to the hallway with a spacious cupboard under the stairs, toilet and door to the living room.
The living room has a bay window, lots of light, a beautiful parquet floor and a fireplace. The front is furnished as a sitting room, the back as a dining room. From the living room there are patio doors to the backyard.
Next to the dining room is the semi-open kitchen. Modernized in 2015, finished with a tiled floor of Portuguese tiles and equipped with various built-in appliances, such as a 4-burner gas stove, steam oven, combi microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and extractor hood.
Landing with access to all bedrooms, the bathroom and the separate toilet.
At the front is a large bedroom with a beautiful herringbone pvc floor and patio doors to the balcony above the bay window. The room has a spacious built-in wardrobe.
There is also a smaller room, currently used as an office, but it has previously served well as a baby/children’s room.
At the rear also a large bedroom with a new beautiful herringbone pvc floor and this room also has a built-in wardrobe.
The bathroom was modernized in 2012 and equipped with a corner shower, a bath, a double sink and a towel radiator. The separate toilet was also modernized in 2012. Both bathroom and toilet are equipped with a ventilation system.
Via a fixed staircase you reach the 2nd floor. This floor has recently been completely modernized, namely at the end of 2021. The floor already has a beautiful point in the front façade on the 2nd floor and a large dormer window over the entire rear.
This floor is furnished with 2 spacious bedrooms and an extra bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. There is also a separate laundry room with the central heating boiler and washing machine and dryer connections.
The bedroom at the front has a large skylight in the flat roof, making it a very spacious and bright room. From this room it is also possible to access the (flat part) of the roof. At the rear is a large room, spanning the entire width of the house, with a large dormer window, making this a very bright room.
The luxuriously finished bathroom has a shower, toilet, sink and ventilation system.
At the end of 2021, the 2dn floor has been completely renovated and the 1st floor has had a refurbishment. Both floors have a herringbone pvc floor, new heavy carpet has been laid on both the stairs to the 1st and 2nd floor.
The garden at the rear faces southwest and was beautifully furnished in 2015 with a shed and veranda at the back. There is garden lighting and an outside tap. There is a back entrance to the house, where we explicitly state that it has not been officially arranged or recorded but has been tolerated and used by the current residents for at least 15 years.
The house is very conveniently located in Leiden. Within cycling distance of the central station and the center of Leiden, but also the university, various hospitals and the Bio Science Park can be reached very quickly by bike. It is a stone’s throw from the Kempenaerstraat (shopping street) in Oegstgeest. On the other side of the Raadsliedenbuurt is the famous ‘Leidse Hout’ park. In the vicinity are a wide variety of sports facilities (including tennis, athletics, football, hockey and even a swimming pool) and various schools (both primary and secondary, up to and including the International School of the Rijnlands Lyceum).
Close to the exit road to the A44 (direction Amsterdam or The Hague).
The beach and De Kaag can also be reached quickly and easily from this neighborhood by bicycle and car. The Van Oldenbarneveltstraat is really in the middle of the district, so that only local traffic comes through, making it a very quiet street, where the children can still play outside.
