The current residents fell for the large space, possibilities and especially beautiful light in this house. They consider it the best possible place within the Randstad: space, light, privacy, green, quiet location on the green Hofbrouckerlaan, a beautiful village en yet everything the Randstad has to offer within reach. If fate had not brought them elsewhere they would definitely have stayed in their 'Lego house'. With that in mind they invested in the house: with a view to minimise maintenance costs on the long term with sustainable and durable materials. As such, the 2016 extension was built according to the latest standards. This further increased the usability of the house: home office, extra room/studio for living in or visiting parents/children, play room, chill/video room, the possibilities are endless!
Front garden with driveway and spacious entrance with vestibule, new fuse box and storage cupboard. Corridor with staircase, toilet, inner door to the garage and a lovely garden room at the rear with sliding doors to the backyard. This garden room is currently in use as a second living room, but can easily be converted into a kitchen, bedroom, home office/practice. The house is fully insulated, equipped with low temperature heating and therefore has an energy label A! With the many, also energetic, adjustments, a lot of practical thought has been given to the implementation. For example, the frames are partly made of wood, but above headroom they are made of plastic, so that no scaffolding is needed for paintwork. The roof has about 20 cm insulation and almost the entire house has HR++ glass.
